Self-Tape Workshop

Self-Tape Workshop

$249.00

This porftolio-building, in-person workshop is ideal for actors who are looking to refine their self-tape audition process for Film/TV roles with a professional actor and acting coach. As well as improving the actor’s self-tape skills, they will leave with a tape that will be fit to add to their casting profile. The goal of this class will be to improve the quality of performances, as well as provide the actor with usable footage to submit to projects.

The workshop will take place in a comfortable setting in San Francisco with a limited class size. This class will offer focused, specialized attention on how to create a competitive self-tape with a knock-out performance. You will develop the following:

  • Finding the character POV

  • Specifying your relationships

  • Endowing your environment

  • Improvisation as a way to get into the scene

***Note that the material we work on will be derived from modern TV series or films***

We’ll work on two scenes. Participants will be sent both ahead of time. With Scene #1, actors will be asked to tape it before class and we’ll break it down during the workshop. With Scene #2, we will tape it during the second half of the workshop.

ACTORS WILL BE REQUIRED TO BE OFF BOOK with Scene #2 BEFORE CLASS. This is very important, because it will help everyone work efficiently and get the most out of the class.
